Bees! Peter made sure our newest bee family, Sting, was settled in this morning. What a privilege to care for these awesome winged insects!

"I will give you a name... and I shall call you Sting."

—Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit, J.R.R. Tolkein

This weekend we seeded more wildflowers for our bees and planted more veggies for ourselves. We decided to restart our radishes and lettuce in the raised beds. The soil mix was not quite right and they were not thriving. Because it is still early, no big deal!

This year we are adding corn to the garden. It felt very "farmer-y" to be planting corn with my crew this weekend! So thankful for the gift of hard work that gets us outside together, learning something new, being active and away from the screens, able to set aside the worries of the day/week/month/year, and share the joy and beauty of creation!

Is it a convenient choice for our schedules?

Nope.

Are there things we would do differently if we could start again? Absolutely.

Are we committed to try new things, take risks, accept that things may not work the first time around, but enjoy the process?

A hardy YES
