They're here!

I did not begin my day thinking that today was the day I would get the call that our chickens have arrived in NoVA...
I received an email that they were at the Minneapolis Airport last night and delivery was set for Friday. Great, we have time to finish getting ready!
This morning at work I got another notification that our chickens had arrived at Dulles and delivery was going to be tomorrow (Wednesday). No sweat!
Just before lunch, the post office called and said, "we have your chickens, please come pick them up." My guess is that they don't get a whole lot of chickens coming through the mail room here in Springfield. I was identified as the "bee family" as they remembered the bee delivery not too long ago. Perfect, we are known as "that family." At least we are known!
Fortunately, Peter had a quiet afternoon and was able to meet me at the house to manage our new guests. Our 16 new chickens all arrived safely and seem happy to be out of their boxes!
Also, Maggie loves the new chicken TV we installed for her!
But seriously...they are precious and I'm in love with these little fluff balls!
We have 4 Australorp, 4 Barred Rock, 6 Light Brahmas, and 2 mystery chicks. As they feather out, we will share names (we have friends and family assigned to different chickens) and pics of each feathered friend.
Praying we will steward them well and they will produce us many eggs!
